I have a local dealer who has just received their 5 Star rating and I was under the assumption that all 5 Star dealers had a Prowler/Viper Tech. on staff.

I seem to remember some of you talking about this sometime ago, any thoughts or knowledge on this?

I am trying to work with the Dealer on this because we have 5-10 Prowler owners in the area and would like to find someone to work on our warranty issues.

The other day I took the Kat in so they could verify my OS Sensor problem that was found by my own Tech. Darren and the next thing you know 2 of them were about to take "HER" out for a test drive. RIGHT!!

Told them "out of the car" and do the check by revving the car to 2,000 rpm and checking the pre catalytic sensor on the computer.

Said it was not to bad and would not fix the problem. I noticed it more after I replaced my spark plugs. At about 2,800rpm or 130km/hr the Kat was making slight vibrations in the gas peddle and lacked a punch when I hit the gas.

Brian, I was under the understanding that a dealer had to have a trained tec. in order to sell a prowler. Just because they are 5star they don't have to have a tec if they don't sell prowlers. Find a dealer that sells prowlers. Hope this helps.

Just beacuse they are a Five Star doesn't even mean that they are good, at least not in my book. There is a five star dealer near me that I would like to see lose his rating. I took my kat there and got it back with oil handprints on the door, grease on the floormats and seat, and oil on the steering wheel. They wouldn't clean it up so I wouldn't pay up!!!!! Took the matter to the DM and he took care of me not having to pay, but I don't think that he did anything to the palce because I still hear bad stories about them.

North American car companies need to learn from the Japan car makers.

When I bring my Lexus in I get a loaner car and they detail the car every time. Never had to wait for anything that was not expected.
The Tech. comes out if any thing unusual is found to explain it. When they change my summer tires etc. they bag the tires and put them in car, not once was a mark found.
Once they needed to keep it over nite and called at the end of the day to give me an update and time car would be ready in the am.
You know something they don't call themselves anything but Lexus Dealers and from what I hear from others everyone gets treated the same at all their dealers.
WOW what a concept.
I paid just as much for my Prowler and get twice as less treatment and satisfaction from the DEALERS.

I think you are generalizing too much. I get that kind of treatment from the three american car dealers that I use.
