I'm not sure if this is by the same maker, but there was a guy in TX that was building a kit that looked pretty much the same. I've been away from building kits for a few years. The Kat took all my play money. However, if I remember right his kit had a more sloped and rounded nose. He never said it was to look like a Kat though. Maybe this guy bought one and is selling it. Don't get me wrong on this, I agree that I do not like the car pictured, and don't like that he says that it is a cheaper Kat. But do keep in mind not everybody is as lucky as us and can afford a kat. To each there own. Let's just thank are lucky stars that we have Kats.

Voodoo, I'm not rying to offend anybody, but I would not buy that car at any price. Even if I could not afford to have a Prowler. I do agree we are very lucky.

It reminds me of the story of The Ugly Duckling or was it The Tortoise and the Hare?

quote:

Weight 2,830 pounds ... Chevy 350 cu in, bore .030 over (only 4k miles) · Competition Cams with hydraulic lifters · K&N filter with cool air induction · Carter 650 cfm carburetor · Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold · Griffin aluminum radiator & electric fan · Flowtech Afterburner headers · Automatic Turbo 350 transmission

I don't see how the weight could be this light, but if it is there is a possibility that this car wouldn't need an accelerator pedal, just a fuse.

The weight could very easily be that light. It's built on a Camro frame. Take all the metal off and replace it with fiberglass. That takes off alot right there. Next the roof has been cut off. That would worry me right away. They were Uni-bodies so the roof helped hold the whole thing together. It could be done though. Why would you is the question though.

Beware...I know you wern't and I wasn't trying to be hard on anybody. I don't like the car very much either.
