Who is everyone picking in the brackets to make it to the Final Four? Xavier U. and U of Cincinnati both had players named All-Americans. We have a lot of nearby teams in the tourney so it is hard to pick teams that are trying to eliminate the local teams. U of Ky, Indiana, Notre Dame, Ohio State are all within a couple hours drive. W. Ky may shock a few people, also. Purdue is not in it, which is unusual. Duke and Maryland are looking like they could make it to the final four. I am hoping UC makes it that far, also.------------------

MeanGene, Maryland looks tough, but what happened in that last game?Generally I am fired up about KY, but we look a bit meek this year. Still, I am hoping for a respectable run... I'm an SEC brat so I root for those teams, but there are a BUNCH of teams this year that have a legitimate shot at it. As long as somebody upsets Duke I'll be happy. Mike

Man, Thursday was a bad day for teams that I picked. I picked Creighton and also Kent State. Arizona has to beat a lot of Ohio teams to go anywhere AC. XU v Okla ought to be a good game. Unfortunately UC, XU and Ohio State are all in the same bracket. All the local teams won. Indiana, Notre Dame, KY, Kent State, UC, XU, Ohio State.------------------

These double overtime games are wearing me out! Florida & Creighton, now Cincy & UCLA.How about Prince scoring 41 on Tulsa for Kentucky yesterday!? If Prince and Bogans can play like they did in the first two rounds then I like KY's chances. Go Cats! Mike

I'm suicidal after UC loss to UCLA. They couldn't make a shot to save their lives in the 2nd half. My pool choices are looking grim.------------------

Ed - I don't see ANY of your Ohio teams left? I'm not bragging, because I don't think Arizona can survive much longer either, but, Kentucky and Duke will also fall. You heard it here first - Oklahoma or Missouri (TOSS UP) VS Kansas in the final game = Big 12 conference RULES!

And to think I was rooting for the Arizona Wilcats in case the Kentucky Wildcats lost! OK, so the SEC failed as a conference (5 of 6 gone), I'm still rooting for Wildcats!Mike

Mike - I'm glad you are for your Wildcats.Don't throw rocks at me, I'm just the messenger Calling it like I see it. I hope my Wildcats could do it, but I live in the real world,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,somedays!!! Was just pulling Mohawk's chain, which isn't very long. Since he changed his banner, his nose got longer. Andy, put the bird back in the banner. It was better looking! This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 03-18-2002 at 10:21 PM

A/C, Kent St. is in Ohio. UK Wildcats are 90 minutes south and Indiana is less than 2 hrs. west so there are still a few regional teams to root for. I am thinking Duke and Maryland will go a looong way in the tourney.------------------

Sorry Ed - I was wrong. Kent State? They play division 1 ball? Thought they just did protest marches there? Must have gotten their players from Indiana towns, as we all know the Cincy kids end up playing penal institution ball Kent State has one more game to enjoy the spotlight, then say goodbye. I said I was going out on a limb.
