Today is my mother's 83 birthday and it is also my older sister's birthday, my nephew's 29 (my older brother's son), and my granddaughter Sara's (she's four) birthday. Four generations with the exact same birthday. Since I am the third oldest in my family, each of the generations birthdays dropped to the next child. My older sister, my older brother is 2nd and it is his son and then my granddaughter. Somewhat unusual, don't you think.

Ed, funny you should memtion that. We have 3 generations of boys all born on January 19th. My wife's brother, our son and our grandson! I thought 3 was pretty unusual.

I have one brother born December 31 and one born January 1 two years apart. With six boys in the house Christmas stunk for them.

Marc - tell your brothers I can identify. My birthday is Dec 20. When I turned three and foreverafter I have the joy of sharing Christmas Week and my birthday with my little sister. Maybe I'll send her a nasty email now just for being born on MY birthday.

My youngest son was born on Dec. 31. At least there is a party every year but I agree that is a bummer birthday. The other 3 were all born in April.

Larry - actually I didn't know any difference and my parents always waited to put up our Christmas tree and decorations until the evening after our birthday party was over so it made the day even more special.

The really down side was with birthday and Christmas I had a lot of winter clothes all the time and few things to wear in summer!
