Is it larger than the original GT40 or does it just look bigger because it is on a stage in the photos?

I don't know about that one....
I personally think the GT40 looks similar to an old Ferrari 308... That is definately a love it or hate it car!

I sold this car after driving it many years. It was styled like the GT-40.

Nelson, was that a kit car? The wheels tell me that there is another car under that body!

It is bigger to accomodate two in normal interior dimension fashion. Remember, original was never intended to be a daily driver or even driven on streets for that matter.

Price, I'm told from the Detroit auto show, is going to be well into the 6 figures. I suspect they are targeting the Saleen S7 market (my guess).

It would be a great car at $50-80K but, at $200K+, well, there are others that would get my money first.

If anyone at the big three is listening, build a car like the GT40 with a normally aspirated small block V8, standard, very small options list, and sell it for around $50K and you probably would sell a bazillion of them.
Also, to ensure this, keep dealers from asking $5-10-20-30K over sticker for hot cars. Mercedes, Porsche, and BMW have done this so the worst you'd ever have to pay is sticker.

Sunbird - Yes, this is a kit car. It is on a VW chassis; I used wheel spacers and these wheels to give it a wider stance. Kit was a Fiberfab kit, car was called the 'Avenger'.
It got almost as much attention as the Prowler. It was very low, the roof height was below my belt buckle.
