Now that I cleaned up the drool off my computer screen, I have a question for all you Prowler owners.

I have a 2000 Dodge Intrepid R/T. There seems to be some similarities between the R/T (and some other LH cars) and the Prowler. For example the same 3.5L HO engine and the same tranny (although the R/T is FWD). It has been debated time and time again over at http://www.dodgeintrepid.net that adding more than just a little horsepower will shred the tranny. Some say it will, others say that the tranny will be fine. Now, since the Prowler uses the same tranny, how you guys (and gals?) add your superchargers and your turbos (not to mention NOS) without messing up your trannies??? What did you have to do (such as ad a tranny cooler, etc) to make this work? Any information would be appreciated and very helpful.

Thanks in advance,
-chase

Warlord.

The Prowler has a tranny cooler standard... It's mounted in the rear of the Prowler under the license. And, on the Prowler they moved the tranny from the engine to the rear axle...

The tranny has held up fine... the only real problem is the little input & output sensors (same problem you have on the other cars with that tranny).

If you are looking for a performance gain you should check out Prowler Pro's gears. They will improve the performance more than any other mod. All of the Prowlers with performance mods have 'em. If you want more check out Deans nitrous system too.
