So is there anyone on this board who has played with installing mod chips in their PS2? I just put the neocube external one in and i had to solder one wire. But of course, i managed to mess something up but i dont think it was my wiring. The PS2 will boot my backups and everything fine just like it should with the new mod chip installed BUT for some reason my controllers arent working :-( The little button for the analog light can be turned on and off but that is about it. Now i did manage to break the little tab clippy thing that holds the ribbon in but i cemented everything so it wouldnt come out and it still aint working. Not sure what i did wrong but if anyone knows maybe they could help me out. Also, does anyone know who to contact to possibly get parts for the PS2? And, is there anyone who installs mod chips on the PS2 that would do it for me in case it was operator error after i get the controllers fixed? Thanks...later....

I don't think you'll find much help here on this board, Not that these aren't great people, they just don't strike me as the video game type of people (let alone video game mod people).

What kind of mod chip did you put in it. And for what purpose. E-mail me at albraga@yahoo.com

Hollywood - Who you asking about age? Al's signature says he's 22, I think Jason is 20, I have a son born the same year as Jason, and Ed graduated from school with my grand father. LOL

Have you looked up any PS2 sites to see if there's any mod instructions. I'm a computer gamer and ps2'r but havent put any chips in. Is that chip for the Japan games? 33 and still playing games.LOL

Marty, good try, but your grandfather flunked out! It seems he flunked automotive shop because he could never leave well enough, alone. He always had to tinker with something and change the design. lol

Ed- I may continue to modify and change change the design on my car a lot, but its only taken me two changes to realize wife #3 is a keeper just the way she is. She doesn't need any modchips and is more fun than a PS2 !!
