I received an email today from a firefighter in Dade County, Florida. (I have 3 sons who are firefighters here in Cincinnati). The email explained that the firefighters at ground zero have been thru a lot, to say the least, and they are getting somewhat discouraged. They have seen a lot of very depressing sights in the past 3 months but they vow to continue to look for the bodies. There is no end in sight. How about sending a Christmas card to: NYC Fire Dept. 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza New York, NY 10005Remember the movie MIRACLE ON 34th STREET ? In order to prove there was a Santa Claus they brought bag after bag of mail into the courtroom. If the firefighters are inundated with moral support in the form of a Christmas card from millions of Americans it might help to buoy their spirits in the most trying of times. I wish I could take credit for thinking of this idea, but I can't. So if you all can spare a card, a stamp and a couple of minutes, I am sure those guys could use a lift in their spirits. Thanks. Pass it on. ------------------
