I stopped by a Ford dealer yesterday to look at a Lightning and he had two new T-birds on the lot with a dealer markup up of $15000!!! I'm guessing they will be sitting on his lot for some time and that is why he has two on his lot. I'm not in the market for that car, but are the other dealers marking them up that much?

Daryl - I hear 10 grand markup is normal out here in the west. They can keep it, has no appeal to me with those Neon headlights DC share the parts bin? LOL------------------
Call 911 - there is a Prowler in my garage.... Arizona - Home of the 2001 World Champions - Arizona Diamondbacks

I have one on order at MSRP.. but it maybe months before the car is build and I had to go to a dealer in Ohio to get one I looked for weeks and what I found out is most dealers are asking 5k over and will sell for 3k over....

Hmmmmmmmm........here we go again!! It seems that the dealers do that with every new and innovative car!! Vipers, Prowlers, PTs, T-Birds, Corvettes, (remember when the Miata came out?) and anything they think they will be able to make a killing on!!! Okay.....I'm waiting for someone to make the comment that "Ford should be able to control what their dealers charge for their cars"......just like they always say about DC with regard to the Prowler!! lol! See? It's not just DC......auto mfgrs. cannot control this issue!!

I got lucky..timing... I found a dealer, in early October, that was a small Ford dealer and he happened to have a T Bird coming in and unsold. I paid MSRP and picked it up on Halloween...the dealers here in the Dallas area were asking anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000 over..didn't mean that they would sell them, but that was the starting point.
