things were supposed to get easier!! Is it just me, or does it seem like every time you turn around, something else is happening? It's not been a good week......

Beginning of last week, found out on

Sunday - that my son was in a car accident (some woman hit him).

Monday - a family member's eyesight has worsened (she is going blind from a degenerative eye disease)and is having one of her two corneal transplants done tomorrow.

Tuesday - Computer virus hits my computer, shutting me down completely. Ended up at an Emergency Vet Clinic until 3:30 am with one of my pets who did not make it (had to get up at 4:30 a.m to leave for Camp Jeep).

Wednesday - Got a call (after we arrived in Virginia) from my dear friend and neighbor at the lake that her mother (who lived with her)passed away.

Thursday and Friday were, thank goodness, crisis free.

Saturday - Got totally soaked in the rain at the Camp Jeep Leann Rimes concert and my grandson and I both got sick!

Sunday - Ran into a horrible rain/thunderstorm on the way home in MI and it scared my grandson so badly he got sick in the car.

Monday - I find out that my buddy PaulR was seriously ill again, but hopefully on the mend.

I know that there are people out there who are having a much worse time than what has happened to me in the last week. I guess the point of this is that we should be thankful for all of the good things that happen to us on a daily basis, in spite of the bad things that happen.

Every day, when I get on this board and talk back and forth with the people here, I am reminded of what a wonderful group this is and how lucky we are to have each other as friends - not only during the good times, but the bad ones, too.

Paul, my friend, please take good care of yourself and do what your doctors and your beautiful wife tell you to do!! Both of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I hear you MadMax. I lost my only brother (I have 4 sisters, also) 2 1/2 years ago. He was 11 years younger than me. That didn't seem right, either, that he was gone before me. Still havin' a hard time with that one.

when it's time, it's time, some of us get longer then others, and some of us get things easier then others. No matter how hard it gets, someone else has it far worse. When things get bad... remember this... the homeless on our streets are rich in comparison to most of the world. Get better Paul, Phil, and lets not forget Sassy...
