Dan, whenever I try to access the funny stuff you leave, I get a "Unable to access this media, you may not be connected to the network" message. I DO get Real Player to pop up but nothing ever loads. What's going on? I hate to miss out on the fun.

Paul what type of system are you running? If it is a windows system - the media player should pop up.

Paul,

The only thing I can think of is you have some sort of firewall thru your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

My sister in law down south is also unable to view any media
type files because the Network Administrators have blocked off xmedia from her network drop.

Can you view anyone elses mpegs or avi's ??

Yes, I am able to pop up Media Player but the file will not start giving me the same reason I listed above. I am using the latest driver for Media Player on a Pentium III 500 MHz, 256 meg of RAM, DSL connection. I get some images each day and have been able to download video files but not from Dan the Man.
What should I check next?

Okay Paul,

I'm emailing you these files... Since you have DSL, it should not be too difficult.

Later....

John Davies, I'm running Norton's Anti-Virus but I regularly download .avi's and .mpg's. My problem is that I know only enough about what I'm doing to be dangerous around this gear although I can type up to 65 mistakes a minute.

Dan, I look forward to getting the files and Cliff, I'll have Rolaids on hand, just in case. Thanks all for trying.

Paul,

Your email server is rejecting certain file sizes. Is your email

tectrum@mindspring.com

I think your ISP has a file size limitation!! Here is what
I received...

----- Transcript of session follows -----
... while talking to mx11.mindspring.com.:
>>> MAIL From:<dpena@dpena.com> SIZE=5953616
<<< 552 Message size 5953616 exceeds limits 5242880
554 5.0.0 <tectrum@mindspring.com>... Service unavailable

It reads like you can only received file sizes no greater
5.2 Megs.

Maybe this is why you cannot view some avi's ??

I think you might have received the other 6 files I sent you ??

Let me know ...
