I have been giving GW a lot of s*&% on the main board and thought I'd move it here.

I have one question for all you Prowler owners? Are you better off now than you where when slick Willy came in office. I would answer "YES". What were you driving in 1992??? I wast driving a Mazda...

OK you compassionate conservative! Lets hear from you...

He had nothing to do with the economy. Computers and other high tech items spurred the economy. Who was Pres. in March when the economy stalled? Greenspan has much more power over the economy than slick Willie, other than payments to attorneys, prostitutes and pay offs to the Chinese. Will your kids and grandkids live thru nuclear war that the chinese are now capable of starting? Quality of life isn't just about money, you will find that out as you get a little older. He was counseled by Jessie Jackson, that says it all. He pays his bimbo $10,000 a month for child support plus the Rainbow Coalition pays her $40,000. Where does that money come from? There is no winner in this arguement, you are not going to be swayed and neither are we going to ever think Slick Willie was worth a damn.

Ed: Well said. Don't forget all the great pardons executed during the last two hours of his administration, all without any knowledge or input from the justice department. Even a $50 million dollar tax evader that is still listed as a fugitive. Of course I don't think the one million that his ex-wife contributed to the DNC had anything whatsoever to do with it.

Neither Clinton nor Gore are friends to the military or the automotive industry.

All of us aged veterans know that ALL politics is ALL BS.

They just want your money, not your life. Maybe want to dictate how your life is lived - no guns, no smoking, no drinking, no SUVs, no gambling, no freon, no everything. A government that requires air bags that kill children. Our rights are slipping, not what the founding fathers had in mind, I'm sure.

I for one hope that GW can make the most of the "Oral Office" - maybe add afew extra entrance doors past the security. Anyone want to rent the Lincoln bedroom?

Gary, what brand of cigars do you smoke?

Bush has to be way better than what we have had. Am I better off? Not because of anything Clinton did. One politician is as bad as another. My kids are both military and they are both way better off with Clinton gone. VT Prowler...you make me ashamed to say I went to Virginia Tech.

I believe any discussion of politics belongs has no place on a Prowler website. Even though it is in the off topic area, this thread proves my case. This is not the 'Republican Prowler Owners Association", or the "Democratic Prowler Owners Association". This type of discussion really serves no purpose, except to divide a great bunch of people with a common interest into seperate cliques. Haven't we been through this b4?
Play nice and have fun...
Glenn

btw - I didn't vote for either. That is my right as an independent american citizen. But I do have a neat car - am I still welcome here?

Glenn.......you would be welcome here even if you didn't have the neat car. And politics is, of course, something that everyone will never agree on. I don't know if it belongs on the board as an off topic or not, but isn't it great that we live in a country that allows us to express our opinions and views wherever we want!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA and all the freedoms and choices we have because we live here!!!

I'm glad to see my post got some attention and raised some eyebrows. As I have said to CJ I was just trying to get to know some people a little better. Talking about the Prowler doesn't give me a good idea of who I am talking to.

I would more than agree that all three candidates were poor selections. I think everyone has forgotten about Mr. Nader. I think a lot of people are missing the point. I wasn't showing any support for Slick Willie. As far as I can remember and as much as can be pulled from history, he has been the most morally corrupt president to date. Some of his questionable pardons in the last days reinforce that. If I had a daughter, two sons, I wouldn't let her within two miles of the guy. My sons have to stay one mile away.

I do agree that Greenspan is the economic leader of the country. Politicians only set policies and that is were I have some issues with Bush. I guess I won't go into them, but to sum it up I am a conflicted environmentalist. Bush is not.

As far as Bush and the military goes. I'm not sure what people think Bush is going to do to help our military folks. Due to budgets in this day and age I don't think Bush has much he can do. Yes they are the most honored employees the US government has and probably the least paid. I am the son of a retired naval aviator and am proud that I grew up in the extended military family.

Dave, you should never be ashamed to say you are from VT. I'm sure there are some alumni sitting in jail who are marginal worse than me

Thanks all for sharing with me. Hope all have learned I'm a harmless smart a%* and like to stir things up a little from time to time. The next time I think I'll avoid politics.

Happy Prowlin' all

My earlier post was not intended to advocate censorship, I was just trying to keep the peace. People tend to be very emotional on certain subjects, and I've seen threads on other discussion boards get very nasty.
I enjoy a lively political debate as much as anyone else, as long as it remains civil.

cheers,
Glenn

Say, Mozart, did you read the paper in the last week? The supposed idiot to whom you refer has proposed more positive legislation in his 1st week in office than Clinton/Gore did in their first full term. Only a real idiot would have supported school testing and vouchers to really give the poor a shot at the golden ring, yet, the idiot in the White House did just that.

Let's see, Mozart, so Bush is an idiot. And that would make the voters of Texas stupid twice, I guess? And, then, I guess that the faculty of Yale was similarly dimwitted to graduate this guy, is that right? And, that MBA he earned? I suppose that he won that when he opened up a box of Cheerios?

Yes, and a guy who owned and ran an oil business and did not spend 26 years of his life "working" for government makes him pretty stupid, too? Get a clue, Chopin!

The "dark ages" are upon us, you say? You folks love to throw around the word "mean-spirited". What do you call someone who calls the President of the US, an "idiot"? Can you say the words, "truth" and "pride" or are those words too foreign? After 8 years of the divisive, race-baiting, philandering, juvenile behavior you've grown so used to, it's no wonder these words are foreign to you.

Mozart, you're going to find out you're mistaken. "Dark ages"! Yeah, right. Don't compare curriculum vitaes with "W", you're not up to comparisons, I assure you.

Thank you for the kind thoughts RBRYellow2000. I've been on a slow burn for at least 4 years with the former office holders. It's time that, like Spiro Agnew said, the silent majority speak up. I'm not all that politically oriented and don't want to start fights but enough is enough from that side of the aisle. Kind, decent, and moral people have been vilified long enough in the '90's. Now, it's time for a little fresh air from within the Beltway.
When you make to WI, the first 2 rounds are on me! Cheers!

I found a copy of Mr. Bushes first draft for his inaurgal speeh . I do not agree with what some parts of it say and was happy his staff had time to correct it before he spoke. here we go
-----------------------------------------------------------

My fellow Americans , it's about damned time. All you liberals can just kiss my big white Texas a$$ if you think I'm gonna spew a boat load of bipartisan bull **** . Let's set the record straight I won, dammit. Hell I won FOUR or FIVE TIMES you stupid b@$!@%&s. We got the presidency, we got Congress and the Senate . In four years we will have even more of the Supreme court. The Repbulicans are here and we are going to show you how it's done.

Ya'll want me to reach across party lines now? How 'bout I reach across the table and slap all of your sorry-liberal-monkey-a$$e$? How'dya like that ? Don't get me wrong , here. The sence of satifaction I'm feeling is right now isn't that I won - it's that i won't have to listen to Al Gore b!+@# and moan about "letting every vote count". The only reason it went as far as it did was you Democrats have a play ground crybaby for your poster-boy, and I for one am glad I wont have to see him on TV any more. This might sound snippy , Mr. Gore , but we use to say in the sand lot ...LOSERS WALK !!!

As I said in my campaign , I promised to be be a President who focuses on education. My first task as President will be to start an educational program for all of you Flordia idiots who can't tell your elbow from your a$$H@(3 or how to poke a stylus through the right hole. I dont get you liberal Democrats: when you are talking about Bill Clinton and some office Wh@%* ,you say lack of penetration doesn't count ; but when it comes to ballots , lack of penetration does count.

You want a solution to this problem ? Take some viagra, you old farts, and finish what you started in four years. Until then I just want to ask you one question:" Who's yer daddy ???"

And so I humbly accept the office of the President of these United States . Thank you.

One thing that I practice in life I never discuss politics or religion and I would think this would be great practice here.

I think this thread should be locked and quietly roll away.
