Top ten places you will likely see "Don't blame me, I voted for Gore" stickers:

10 Trial lawyers offices
9 Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Office
8 Stonewall
7 Buddhist temples
6 Abortionists' offices
5 NOW headquarters
4 Welfare Offices
3 Gun Control Groups offices
2 Chinese Embassy and the Number
1 Death Row

This was taken from a letter to the editor in the Cincy Enquirer.

You know what I mean? I'm all for the people who VOTED, no matter for whom (or at least tried to vote) - even the people who abstained. The people who should be catching all the crap are the citizens who just didn't vote out of laziness, indifference, etc. - especially the ones who complain afterwards.

.............................................
Is there someone out there who is willing to stick up for Bill or Al in this thread of political wisdom? Just for fun.

Sure Pauley I'll stick up for the Robot.

One of the largest problems I have with your boy Bush is his lack of environmental policies. If you remember the debates between the two, one important question was asked. What policies would you implement to reduce our dependence on imported oil. Gore's response, search for alternate fuel sources, put more money into research. Bush's response, open up Alaska's national reserves to drilling. Bush's response shows a lack of knowledge or uncaring of environmental issues. Fossil fuels produce carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide, greenhouse gases. I would expect an oil man to say damn the environment, full steam ahead lining my oil buddies pockets.

Gore's response shows a serious concern for our planet and forward thinking. Yes some of his policies and views would cause financial burden on our generation, but aren't future generations worth that, or should they have to fix our legacy of pollution caused by our short term policies.

I don't expect anyone who doesn't believe in environmental issues to be swayed by me. I could recite loads of scientific data pointing toward our needing to change our environmental behavior. I won't bore any of you with that.

No I'm not proposing that we all give up our Prowlers for tricycles, I'm not that much of a tree hugger

FYI, I have been laying low on this post since starting it because I think I've stirred up enough emotions and some people seem uncomfortable talking about or listen to political views which oppose theirs. Unfortunately living in the DC area that's all I get and am probably much more willing to talk about it than others. I did change the subject because it seemed rather low class after thinking about it. Just figured out I could change the subject, kind of neat.

You guys can send me all the tree hugger responses you want. You won't change my view, and even though I wish I could, I don't expect to change yours. I agree to disagree.

That's my environmental rant for tonight.

Enjoy yourselves, we are all here for a blink of mother natures eye. Let's not make her cry while we are here.

Jeff: I guess I am one of the anit-environmentalists you are talking about. For most of my adult life I made a good living in the Coal and Steel business here in western Pennsylvania. That is all gone now. There are very few mines left and even less steel plants. I guess I see the tree huggers as ruining my way of life. I have had to change directions to survive. My business is doing well but not like it did in those days. As far as cars are concerned, I buy my lead in bottles now to run the older cars. I have always collected cars and will continue to do so. In 1992, just as today, I have 5 collector vehicles. Many states have tried legislation to ban these older vehicles from the road and have not been successful so far. I guess that is my pet peeve against you people. I, for one, think that most of the data is setup to make things look worse than they are. California's power crises is just one example. Power plants have to be built somewhere to provide electricity and there are still no cost effective alternatives to fossil fuel.

As for Clinton, I don't think he is any better or any worse than other Presidents as far as running the country. I don't agree with his actions in his personal life during his presidency, but then the media is relentless in its pursuit of "digging up dirt" Am I better off than I was in 1992? The best I can say is I'm no worse.....
