2000 votes cast on voting machines before the polls even opened and someone apparently displayed a gun at one precinct.

For the first time since I have been voting, I had to stand in line. Many first time voters did not know how to use our punch card system, no identification, and at the wrong precinct. These dummies really slowed things up.

Case in point ... if you were going to drive a car, wouldn't you learn how beforehand or read up on the subject ... yes, voting is a right and a privledge just like driving, but if you are too stupid to handle it, maybe you shouldn't be ... applies to BOTH voting and driving! JMO

Sucks for you but thats a good sign that new people are getting out to vote. And remember the first time you voted, you were probably clueless too. Cut them some slack, it's not like they teach it in school.

All the requirements are posted outside, all they had to do was stop and read. There are two lawyers standing outside trying to get unregistered college kids in to vote. What a mess. My wife is Judge of Election for our precinct and she is having a really rough time.

But you have to admit it's good to see so many people out voting right?

Today was the 2nd time I ever had to wait in line to vote. The first time was so many years ago I don't remember who was running, or if it was a major election. I think there was long lines due to some problem at that poll. This time it was good to see a nice turnout. The lady behind me was voting for the first time. From the time I arrived, til I left was right at 1 hour (arrived at 7:25am). When I got home, they said on tv that some place was announcing voters names and their party affiliation. That's BS! That's just asking for trouble. Since, I have heard about some place in Florida where numbers in the machine and numbers of people signed in don't match. Some polls, both here, and in Florida, were late to open. Some machines were out of order. Come on! Check the machines before sending them out and after setting them up! Now this... I've also heard of other problems. With most any election you can expect some degree of issues to come up. Maybe they've always existed and we're just hearing more about them now, I don't know. I've been denied voting unjustly in the past with Reagan's first term, and I was plenty mad, and know how it feels to have your voting messed with. I just can't believe all the problems out there. You'd think they'd do what is needed to stop MOST of them from popping up in the first place. (like checking the machines, making sure they're set up in time, verifying software reliability, etc.) Any time I've had a problem understanding something, I've never had a problem getting help. It's there for those that need it. If they don't ask for help, its they're own fault.
As for my own experience THIS time, I left my list at home, but figured I could remember it ok. Well, I was wrong. I know in at least one race, I voted for the wrong person. The rest, I got no idea for sure... I think the whole thing was rigged! I'm blaming my voting errors on THEM not reminding me to bring my list to the polls! They WANTED it that way! And they hearded us all into a small 10x12 space before letting us in. Let me tell you something... You put a dozen women in a small space like that, each one wafting a different odifferous scent... I got a buzz off all the alcohol in the air. I almost passed out. It was all a part of the scam to make me confused! It's the end of the world, I tell ya! I'm hiring a lawyer and sueing the whole friggin' system!
At least I DO know, my presidential vote was right on!

They extended the voting for DEMOCRATS until Wednesday, so you still have time. lol.
Actually they had a ton of problems here, also. If you were in line at 7:30 PM, you got to vote. Some voted at 10 PM since they were in line at 7:30. Some machines were broken this morning. EVERY machine in one precinct. What's chances of that happening just by chance? They had about 75 % turnout here and there is a write in vote for prosecutor, and that is really holding up the works.
NBC has it 207 to 206 Electoral votes. Other networks have it 246 to 188. Unreal.

I was at the polls at k7:20 a.m. and I waited in line for an hour and 5 minutes just to get to the door of the room where the voting machines were located. I took a book with me and read while I was waiting in line. Not a big deal.
