The Sox are jumping all over them. If they keep the lead, I will be happy for them to finally get there. I'm not a Sox fan, but they have suffered enough.

Blackcat, Boston's ace pitcher said that he could not seem to find a way to beat the Yankees, they had his number, they were his daddy. The fans took it from there.

Ed thanks. I wouldn't have guessed. The Mets fan call Chipper Jones, Larry just to p*** him off however it seems to have the opposite effect......

I'm sure the baseball fans are happy that someone besides the Yankees won the ALCS, unless you are a Yankee fan - that's me (Pat)

But when your pitchers don't pitch and your hitters don't hit, then you can't expect to win.

Boston played great when the chips were down, so you have to give them a lot of credit and congratulate them on their win.

Now, I hope Houston pulls out a win tonight and then wins the World Series - a little consolation, if Roger Clemens (he won with the Yankees in '99, but lost out in '86, the last time the Sox went to the WS) can get another ring. If so, the curse goes on . . . .

This house is in shock. I sat right behind the plate for game 6, on my birthday no less. Was sure the Yanks would get it done. All the credit to the Sox. I will still wear my Yankee hat with pride. Just rememeber Sox fans, the goal is the World Series. They need to win that before the all-time chant of 1918 will be retired.

And now I probably get to see the Pats beat up on the Jets. What a week.
Ed, how do I find the strength?

Tom---I'm not in shock. The Yankees had the Sox on the hook being up 3 games to none. When they lost game 4 I sensed they were in trouble. After loosing game 5 I knew they were in trouble. When the Sox won game 6 I knew the yankees were gone. All things come to and end, no matter how long it takes. The Red Sox now have to Win the Series, they couldn't beat the other NY team in "86" nows their chance. Just as fast as things change for the best they can for the worst. Ask the Raiders, Buc's, Packers to name a few! I don't care if the Jets win Sunday, just make the playoffs and anything can happen, remember there's not 2 --7 game series to get to the Super Bowl! I have to take my hat of to the Red Sox, Pats. You need good front Office management, coaches etc, they both have it. You need a team to win, Not tons of Super Stars!! I started learning that in Little league! My Mets had one of the highest payrolls in baseball, lousey front office making stupid decisions. I still think the Cards have the Best team this year, but Astros only have to win the next game. I also think with all the games played since spring training, most pitchers are spent right now. Hitting should decide the series. Which team is going to hit?

Chuck, great prediction! You knew it a few days ago. I was positive right after game 7, myself.
One of the GREATEST games and series was the REDS beating the Sox in '75 (they beat the Yankees in '76, just to keep it even). Carlton Fisk waving his home run fair in game 6. Tony Perez hitting a blooper pitch from Spaceman Bill Lee in game 7. Enjoy the limelight and I hope it is a great series. I kind of hope the Sox win but I like the Cards, also. I like Clemens and will not really have a favorite in the series. I hope for good, exciting games.
