I have a few things i would donate for a raffle to help out Curtis. Why don't people who have something related to Prowlers or Mopar throw some stuff into a group and lets Have a raffle. $5 or $10 a ticket! If we have a dozen or so Items it could be worth hundreds of dollars of merchandise. Just an idea to throw around. Auction Idea is great but Money isn't going to add up to nearly as much as a raffle would. I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there with prowler stuff sitting around they haven't used. Lets have a 1st prize 2nd prize 3rd prize. I'm wiiling to send my stuff out to the person in charge and he or she can have a deadline and then Post what the raffle prizes are. JMO

I'll do the boat, all i ask is to get some of my money back. I paid $70000. If we can raise $65000 for me the rest will go to curtis. I don't think on here with the 250 "active" members we would reach that! I'm talking about a few items worth $100 from me and others. I'm sure there are a few vendors who would donate. I like a Donation Pool idea. You contribute annually to help fellow Prowler members in Need. You donate what you wish. I donate now to my Local Fire Dept, Ambulance, Underwater Rescue. (All Volunteer)(We have 60 fire Trucks)etc. Just would add it to my list along with the others. POA Board members could make a decision once or twice a year to decide who needs it the most. Not a Poll on here!! lol JMO

I like that Idea of a donation pool idea CT. I for one would like to help everyon eout, but with a new baby, a new house, I don't think i can afford to help everyone, and I would hate to chose one over the other. It is kind of like doating to the red cross, your money goes to help people in need, not a specific person.

I think it should be almost like a "black bag" donation. Money goes to a certain person or persons chosen by the POA "board" members, and they have no idea who it is coming from. You can get a recipt for tax purposes, but no "star" or anything to say you dontated, etc... That would be the "fairest" way to do it.

Worst comes to worst, I'd buy a raffle ticket or two... I always tried to win the cake walks when i was a kid too, and it never stopped me that i never did win... raffles are fun!

The idea of a raffle on the site is certainly very thoughtful, and I can't speak for Judy and Mike, but there are some legal issues involved with doing raffles on a site like ours. If you hadn't noticed, we quit doing the press kit raffles.....and there were reasons for that. I would suggest, Chuck, that you contact Mike and Judy directly and discuss whether or not they feel they can do this on the site or not.

I'm not about to make problems on a car club site. I was wondering about the raffles and why they weren't being done. As usual there are always legal issues. Thats why i'm not taking any money! I think the people on here really are caring people and i guess the best way is to donate to who-ever you wish when its possible.

Didn't mean to put a damper on anything, Chuck, just a suggestion to check with Judy and Mike to see if this would be okay.
