Some guy is trying to sell his Prowler replica business for $100,000 (molds, jigs, etc.). I find it hard to imagine that Daimler-Chrysler gave this guy their blessing to reproduce Prowlers. Better still, why the heck would anyone want a Prowler replica built on a fiero when you could have the real thing for what is probably not much more money?

Wasn't the Fiero a mid engine car?

How would that work with this?

If truly a kit, it's DAMN close to the original!!!!!!!!

You're absolutely correct. I have to assume the engine is behind the seats in what we use as the trunk. I'm guessing the whole thing is a bit smaller, although he did do a good job keeping the proportions. It's like a 3/4 scale prowler

Wasn't there something posted on this a year or so ago? It if from the Fiero Factory but it is not based on a Fiero frame or motor. It is a steel frame similar to our aluminum frames and I think it was a Ford engine - front mounted. All the body panels were fiberglass.

I think the first one was built for some stereo shop - had tv monitors and speakers everywhere. There was some talk then about the copy, and at that time he said it was about a $100,000.00 prototype.

What would happen if someone here in the states bought it and brought it all here? Maybe that is why it's across the pond!

Think they would sell?

Would it be an investment for future spare parts?

Should I dig up my money jars in the back yard?

Looks like a scam to me. The car is too real to be a copy. The only thing different are the wheels, and only slightly. I think the picture is of a real Prowler.

I don't think so. The door isn't long enough, the shape of the passenger window is wrong, the side marker is smaller than a real prowler, and the nose looks too short.

And it's white

There were photos posted about a kit car builder in Englans I believe about a year ago. They also did Vipers, Lambos, etc kit cars. here is link to Fiero site. They use Briish Ford Granadas for donor cars with V8 engines I think.

Looks like the car has been photo shopped from whatever to white. I think it's a scam too. Grill and lights and bumpers are perfect.

According to their website, they are called the Fiero Factory cause they use them as donor cars.

Here's a pic of their kit Viper look a like

from their web page: http://www.fierofactory.com/venom.html

Probably too expensive to import to USA and I would question quality unless I saw in person first. JMO

Do a search on "Growler" (kit car)... It has been around for a while.

Some people will buy anything if they think its a bargain. How often have you heard people say the the Prowler is an $80,000.00 car?. I have heard that a lot.

Please let them know that I'm willin' to let mine go for a paltry $69,995.00 - a savings of over $10,000.00 if you do some quick math.

Don't thank me. I've always been pretty good that way

Did you notice the steering wheel is on the same side as the gas tank? In my prowler, the steering wheel is on the left and the gast tank is on the right.

There are very few new unsold Prowlers. There is a list of unsold Prowlers but when you call the dealers, they do not have the car or it is not for sale. There are some Gold ones left and a few Mulhollands but that is about it. I would bet there are only 10 to 20 actually for sale.
I called dealers concerning Candy Cats. I had a list of 10 and found one and they wanted $ 65,000. That would explain that one still being for sale.

Yes, but, you aren't driving in England (where these are made).

The point I was making was that I was disagreeing with Kraut. Are you agreeing with Kraut... that you think that the white prowler is a real prowler? I seriously doubt that it is a real prowler that has been converted, because there is not a requirement in England to make the right-hand conversion (based on my recollection... but I may be wrong...)
