I just heard on the news that Canada is erecting a statue to honor the American draft dodgers. No Joke. What's up with that and how do you feel about it? Kinda pisses me. ------------------ |

quote: IF it's true, it's not too surprising? The Canadian socialist government seems to be dominated by spineless lefty frenchies. Maybe some of their citizens will grow some juevos and speak out?? Nahhh...probably not. |

Hey.........if they have no problem charging $32.00 for driving on a toll road.........then a statue like that shouldn't bother them. |

In contrast, we should put up a statue in honor of Canadian soldiers who have fought by our side. They were with us back in '91. |

Actually they were with us in Vietnam in 1969 as well. Kind of an interesting contrast........... |

quote: I agree with ya there butchcee.... That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. I have absolutely NO RESPECT for a draft dodger.. If you are an American it's your duty to fight. Now the spineless cowards are getting a reward for it... Makes absolutely no sense at all. To me that is almost like saying that those that fought and lost their life did it in vain, and that ain't true at all... |

I seriously doubt if MOST Cannucks are in favor of it. The U.S. gov't does some pretty stupid things from time to time, (Okay, many times a day) but we should not all be blamed for it. |

Imagine someone actually thinking about a way to spend taxpayers dollars and erect a statue that is totally pointless....Canadian government hard at work! Told my wife about this last night and she honestly thought there was a punchline to it! ------------------ |

don't get me started !! i'm still mad about our prime minister not being there for our neighbors when this latest Iraq thing happened.... We are ruled by morons who continously embarass the decent people of Canada.... this statue is unlikley but in this world... anything is possible... remember the thankless booing of the national anthems last year in the NHL playoffs ? it started in philly but was not helped when it was done in montreal.... i really though we were above that kind of thing ... but canadians are often judged on the things our mostly french governments do... i have to believe that uáll understand us.... i think i do, i grew up in michigan and lived in both countries....Both are great, both are different, but much the same because we both have a$$ wholes in our political systems....my best friend in the world is a Yankee, my second best is a canuk.... i'm very lucky ! |

You got to love the Canadians!!!!If they were on Mexico's borders they would erect statues for all the lost lives of Mexicans who never made it accross in the Desert heat!Better yet they would have Molson & Labatts stands every few miles or so in case they got thirsty!! They would have air conditioned outhouses with applications for citizenship so they wouldn't waste time on their trip! On the other hand were talking canadian artists here, not hockey players!!! ------------------ |
