Well, tomorrow is a day that I'll remember forever.I lost a friend from the 80's, Steve Fogel, that was a counsel for Cantor Fitzgerald. He was my secretary's son.

Rest In Peace Steve. Hope your wife and children and family are getting along.I almost lost another friend, Christina, that was standing under the second tower when the plane hit and she ran for her life from falling debris and people.

Thank you for this link. I believe it imposible to forget! I will always remember where I was was and the anger I felt!
I am sorry for your loss as well as all of the others that were brutally murdered on that day. Nor will I forget the scenes of people cheering and celebrating in that horrible country!

It's amazing that it's already been three years, isn't it?
My cousin worked at a building right next door to the World Trade Center buildings. I remember going there to see her five years ago.
She was on her honeymoon in the Caribbean when the Towers were hit, having been married on Saturday September 8, 2001.
I'm fortunate that no one I know personally was killed that day.
Unfortunately all of us were wounded that day. The images of that day will be with us forever. May they be a reminder to us that evil exists everywhere. And may they be a reminder to evil that it will not prevail.

Yeah, and the liberals are telling us we should not be fighting a war. I guess wait for another attack and then give them a stern warning.

I definately will never forget....

I was in Houston when all this happened, and remember waking to the cell phone ringing, and tons of messages, people telling me to turn on the TV... I thought it was all a dream..

Ended up having to rent a car and drive back to Dallas.

Flight 93 crashed 12 miles from my house. It was only 300 feet off the ground when it passed over my house. No, I will never forget.

I haven't had anyone close to me vanish in 9/11 but it certainly hit close to home and I feel so much for all involved....
This is something never to be forgotten...and I pray that nothing like this EVER happens again!

I remember the days following. All commercial and private flights banned. I remember looking in the sky and noticing there were no planes.

It still baffles me that knives were not illegal to carry on flights. Hello, security!!! Duhh!!!

One of the first business trips I ever took (early 90's), I had a carry-on... a portable PC (bigger than a laptop... more like a small suitcase). The PC had enough space in the back of it to smuggle virtually anything. Not that I would try it, but I could have had even a gun in there undetected. All they did was have me turn on the PC, and then let me on board. I knew from that point forward that airport security was too lax.

I am certainly not the first one to notice the problem with security policies. There are still problems. The one I worry about most is that not all checked bags are screened. When something happens with a checked bag, then they will find a way to screen all checked bags.

I was on my way to work, listening to the radio, when suddenly, the DJ stopped the song in mid stream. I don't recall ever hearing this done before. They announced that a plane had just hit the first tower, and were discussing whether it was a big or small plane, an accident or intentional, when in total shock, he stopped what he was saying, in the middle of a sentence, to exclaim, "OH MY GOD! Folks, another plane just hit the other tower! We're sitting here watching it live on tv. It was a big airliner. There's no way this was an accident! We are under attack!"
I was totally stunned. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was as if he were my eyes to the event in his description.
When I got to work, everyone there had already heard the news as well. One lady had access to tv on her computer and the entire office was surrounding her desk watching the events unfold. Some in tears, others just standing in silence.
I worked across the street from NASA, and a couple hours later, they announced that NASA was telling all the surounding businesses to send people home, as NASA may also be a target.
Yes, I remember it well. I will never forget the events of 9/11/01! As I remember that day, I also remember those lost, and those who lost loved ones. May God bless them, us, and the USA always.

I'll never forget that day. I remember going to the hospital to do a procedure (I'm a doctor) and seeing that everyone was watching the television. We all thought it was a horrible accident.

Later, when the second plane hit and I got back to the office, I said, "We're at war."

We need to never forget and to never "get over" the fact that 2,973 innocent civilians were slaughtered.

All times are CT (US)
