sad but true...my buddy got turned away for a 30 year old charge.. his wife and kids were with him.. it was quite a scene.. |

he was taking his kids to disneyland for vacation....he applied and got a canadian pardon that took 2 years and $4000.00 and figured he was ok but got turned back on a business trip cause of the "öriginal attempt to enter" his boss was not impressed... |

I hope I don't get deported! My offence was only 27 years ago. Charges were reduced cause it wasn't even mine. I was an innocent bystander. Really! I wonder if they'll let me fly?  |

you can come to canada !! we don't mind.. they are talking about making simple possesion a non criminal offence....but there is a lot of pressure from our neighbor to keep it criminal...i can't figure it out... one of Gods plants, i guess its a tax issue. |

I have no idea who you are referring to so please do not take offense at what I am posting. If a guy does not get on the police or fire dept. it is always because he smoked pot, ONCE, when he was 17. If YOU got turned down because you were a pedophile and your friends wanted to know WHY you did not get the job, would you tell them you are a pedophile or maybe say you smoked pot, ONCE, years ago? Just something to think about since I observed the above happen hundreds of times, literally. What he is claiming may not be quite the entire truth. The Beatles had problems getting into the U.S. over a possession charge. I think they got in, eventually. |

The entry into the U.S.is at the highest alert it's ever been and for a very good reason. Do i believe a person should be denied entry for something that happened so long ago.....NO(as long,like Ed said,that is the entire truth). My wife gets a hard time crossing because she holds a British passport without any record ever....and I fully understand the precautions they're taking without ever getting upset! ------------------ |
