I am not an Arnold S. fan at all. I don't care for his type of movies and I just never was a fan of his.
We watched SCRUBS and then Arnold came on at the RNC and I started watching it. I thought he did an outstanding job. I was impressed with his speech.

Ed - Arnold was good tonite. McCain and mayor Rudy were great last night. Didn't like the Bush daughters,,,,,they don't want to be in the limelight, then do that crap speaking tonite,,go figure.

I agree, Mrs and the twins were so so, at best. I didn't watch last night and would not have watched tonight except I was too lazy to get up and do something useful. Then I got hooked.

I think Arnold did a great job.I think most of the speaches have writers and the twins might have also. While their speech didn't appeal to me, it might to a previously non voting 20yo and that might have been the ploy...if they're watching! So far a great convention with good speakers. I liked the Michael Moore jab yesterday and thought he handled it well.

I watched the convention the entire evening. I loved Ahhnold....the "economic Girly men" comment was great. WOW..Ahnold rocked!!

I liked the twins and thought they were for the most part funny . I thought Jenna's comment about how their hamster "didn't make it" was a riot. Then Barbara talked about "staying out of trouble" and then rolled her eyes..

I liked Laura Bush too. It was stark contrast between Laura talking about her falther and Teressa Heinz talking about Teressa Heinz.

Now...if W doesn't stick his boot in his mouth during a debate..W has got a 50-50 shot at getting re-elected??

I'm not a big Arnold fan either, but I loved his opening line when he said something like: "Someone told me I was as good a politician as I was an actor" and Arnold responded "What a cheap shot!"

His comments, aimed at immigrants, reminded that the United States, with all of its problems, is still the single most desirable destination for people who have a dream of improving their lives and the lives of their children.

I've worked in many embassies overseas in the past 10 years and you should see the daily lines of people, sometimes a mile long, waiting in 100+ degree heat, to submit an application to travel to the United States. Our country is indeed a dreamland for most of the world.

Way to go Arnold!

He is certainly a better speaker(and hopefully Governor)than he ever was a movie actor!
Speech was excellent...

Arnold's speech was very good. I don't usually watch these events but while surfing the channels was caught up in his speech and was very impressed.
Now the Lewinski comment was a really low blow........ sorry couldn't resist.

I thought Arnold was good too, but Rudy was fantastic Monday night!

My opinion: Rudy a 9, Arnold an 8, McCain a 7.

Laura Bush was very good, but it was ahard job following up the Governator. I wish she had gone on before Arnold.

I know the daughters came off as a little silly and immature, but I wonder how well any of us would have done at 22 in front of 8,000 people and before a national TV audience.
