I've seen the new Lotus Elise yesterday on "Motorweek" - that's quite a ride !!

0-60 in 4.8 sec. - top speed 150 mph !!

I know that some POA members already purchased/ordered one so I was wondering if you know how many are being built anually (prodution numbers, NOT the export numbers for the U.S.)

Thanks for any infos !!

No way doc - there's NO substitute for the Prowler IMO !!

I always like the late 70's / early 80's Lotus 'Esprit' and I heard about the 'Elise' but never seen one in extend until yesterday - pretty neat little vehicle !

0-60 times are easy when the whole car weighs 1,900 lbs!

I've seen one. This is an INCREDIBLY SMALL car. It never really was intended for road usage (other then to get you to the track).

If you think the roof leaks on a Prowler, check out what you get with this one.

It's built of the frame of an MR2 and striped of anything they could. Not surprising then is the fact the engine is also a Toyota 4-banger.

It's a quick little track car but, I'd be scared to death driving it in traffic that has anything bigger then a moped.

It's smaller than a Miata!
As far as the 150mph top speed...my Taurus tops out at 144. No biggie. Gets there pretty easily, too!
