Has anyone heard from our prowler family in Punta Gorda? The news looks horrific...I know heading toward more of our friends in Orlando and beyond. I'm sorry I don't know exactly where everyone is. I know power is out so they won't be posting on the board - hope everyone is ok.Debbie

I tried to call Dave Ridge (Punta Gorde, FL) all circuits were busy. I was able to leave message on his cell phone Sue talked to Tom Mills a few minutes ago, he just got back from P.G. and said Dave was staying put. Let's hope Nancy and Dave are OK If they make it out of this with no damage nancy will probably put a few knots on Daves head for not leaving I know there are several other Prowler owners in the path of the storm..........Good luck to you all

I just talked to Tom. Dave and Nancy are okay. There is some damage to the house, the boat is wrecked, Prowler is okay. Tom is pretty sure his place is damaged too.

Below is a partial of a PM that I received from Dixie Cat (Nancy Harris) today, regarding 'some' of our POA family members who might have been directly in the path of hurricane Charley today:********************************************************** "Dave & Nancy Ridge, DQMan Mike & Karen Marciano, Ken & Carol Carter, Will & Cyndi Hunter, Dale & Debbie Barnhart, Kendra and many more live over there. I've heard from some so hopefully it will miss them all." ********************************************************* I received the above information probably before hurricane Charley had directly hit the Florida west coast today. Let us all hope and pray tonight that all of our POA owners and family have gotten through this nasty situation.

Everything is replaceable except lives. Thank goodness they are all okay.

I echo CJ's comments--totally! Much as we love our 'things' ~ that's all they really are!

The tv images this morning look haunting,,,,reminds me of Andrew hitting Homestead, Fl. Sounds like much of the electrical power system is down, so it may be awhile before our POA friends can get back online. I hope that via cell phones, they will contact others to report they are alright.

I tried calling Dave & Nancy Ridge this a.m. but the phones are as expected down. Tom Mills did make contact with them last nite via cellphone as he has posted. Doesn't look like the power will be returned soon from the reports I've seen on tv and as I'm sure you too have seen. If I do hear anymore, I will post. Also, I'm sure many of you know Rich & Joyce Tilden. They too live in Punta Gorda. If anyone has heard from them, please let us know too.Thanks. nancy This message has been edited by DIXIE Cat on 08-14-2004 at 12:40 PM

Thanks Nancy, we will also be thinking about Rich and Joyce. The national tv news is just concentrating on Punta Gorda,,,,what are your local stations showing for damage as the storm crossed the state to the Daytona Beach area and exited? The path of destruction looks really widespread?

Thanks for everyone's concerns for our friends affected by the past week's hurricane in south Florida. Nancy received a phone call from Nancy Ridge today via cell saying they had minimal damage and were doing okay & still without electricity. Very poor connections & they were cut off in mid sentence. We also received an email from Tom Mills last night that he had inquired about Rich & Joyce Tilden who also live in Punta Gorda & they also had storm damage but doing okay too. Thanks for everyone's kind words at this time. I'm sure they will appreciate reading this when they are able to log back on to the POA when their power is restored. Jay
