The real story came after he got home and later testified before congress on. In his sworn statement, Kerry stated that our troops were raping women, shooting at cattle and dogs for practice, shooting at civilians, burning civilian homes for no reason, cutting off arms of civilians, hanging civilians, stealing from civilians, hooking electrodes up to folks genitals, slaughtering innocent folks, etc. He also stated he witnessed alot of this firsthand. 1) As an officer, he was sworn to an honor code. He should have reported these incidents the minute they happened and/or tried to stop them. Not mentioning them in a public speech 10+ months later. 2) By not reporting these incidents while happening, he is complicit and should be charged the same as officers in the Abu Grad (sp) prison affair are. They didn't participate or condone, they just didn't stop it. Think about it this way, if someone was raping your daughter, do you want the guy who will call the police 10 months later or the guy who will hit him with a 2 by 4 right now?????? Think about it.
