Friends & Family, My daughter Ari had surgery on Monday to remove her thyroid. It was cancerous and had spread to one lymph node and she will now require radioiodine treatment. I covet your prayers that it be God's will to restore her health and give her a long and healthy life. Ari is home from the hospital; actually she is staying with me at the Hitching Post Lodge until I leave on Tuesday. The doctor said that her calcium is a little low which is common even though the pathology report showed no parathyroid was removed; she will be on a supplement until her calcium returns to normal. Once her hormone and iodine levels get to where the doc wants Ari will then receive the radioiodine treatment and a full body scan; this will be in about a month. In the mean time she will return to work next week but the week after she will become fatigued; this fatigue will continue until she receives the thyroid supplement which won’t be until after the radioiodine treatment and finding the correct dosage of the supplement is sometimes difficult. I am so proud of her but chasing her dreams has her 1400 miles away so, especially during the next month or so Ari will need your prayers and support. Scott I pray she has a fast recovery with 100% success, I cannot imagine how tough it is going thru this when it is your child. Stay strong and supportive for her and may god bless both of you. |
