The model engines are turbine as opposed to jet, but the turbine whine is very authentic.

I have read about some nuts making scale V-8 engines for thier RC cars...the article tries to describe the mind blowing sound of a rumpity V-8 coming from this little tiny engine....

I sent the link to my ex-brother-in-law. He has been flying radio controlled planes for quite a few years. Here is his take on it.

Hi Ed,

You are right, the B52 is unbelievable!!! I would guess he has somewhere around $40,000 to $75,000. invested or some good sponsors. The 8 turbine 300#s are worth about $4000 each that’s $32,000 just in engines. I sure the plane itself is built out of carbon fiber and other composite materials that aren’t cheap. I love to see it fly for real.

Thanks

Joe
