Realistic flames are the latest trend...I love 'em.I hope to paint some cars in that style.... CTProwler...I'm not sure how much flames like that would pop off your color....would have to be pretty light... Let me know if you can't find a custom painter. I'm open for business in about 2 more weeks.

Wow-that looks really cool! I could never imagine an impala as a car to do all the mods to-but I guess it works! How many TV's-looks like one in each door?

My flame guy has done a full size truck with the realistic flames. They are definitely HOT. I have seen photos of them on other colors - red, blue - but they pop the best on black in my opinion. Maybe if they changed the amount of each color flame and used more yellow for example, they would contraqst better on red. I'll stick with my traditinal flames on the Prowler, but on the right vehicle - these flames are awesome. Marty

Does anyone know who has EXPERIENCE painting realistic flames in or around Ohio. That is what I would like to do to my '99 Black. I think they would look great (like the Impala) with that combination. Thanks.------------------ Kevin A. Black '99 Mostly stock - Borla Exhaust, Tom Mills Bumper Removal Kit, F/R mud flaps, Chrome Shiftknob and Chrome Shifter Bezel. Non-stock permanent grin on my face when driving! Pet? A Cat - a Black Cat of course!

Kevin - if I wasn't already committed to the "retro" look and hadn't already painted traditional flames, that would be the way I would go with a black for sure!!

Absolutely Marty. That is the number one mod I hope to make this year. Anyone have an idea what a "moderate" number of flames might cost to apply?

Actually I have seen many of these Impala bodystyles with mods - dropped bodies, paint jobs, even one with a supercharger that was really sweet. Not "in love" with the body ~ but hey... everybody can't have a Prowler! To each his/her own... and that's a sweet paint job. I'd bet it's gonna be sweet if you do it - Good Luck with yours Kevina
