I have been emailing back and forth with Larry Pennington for several months, and was looking forward to meeting Larry and his wife Robyn at the Texas event. My expectations were far exceeded. I've done many adventurous on the edge things in my life, but after meeting Larry and Robyn I feel like I've done nothing compared to those two. Larry runs a Sky Dive business in Virginia and has made over 9,000 jumps Now what kind of woman would marry this crazy guy? Robyn is also a jumper and the photographer that shoots the video on the way down to the ground. A pair of ACES Really great Prowling people!

Ed and Gatlin - I'm thinking of getting you two guys a gift certificate from Larry's jump school to make the plunge together,,,,,Gatlin can film Ed's facial expressions

Laddie - I heard Larry on the phone thursday morning with the guys assisting Geo. Bush Sr. with the jump. Larry was the person choosen to jump with Geo. Sr. the first time he decided to seek the adventure of the free fall
I've been offered a free jump with Larry,,,,but I'm thinking he would tell me the shoot didn't open and to start praying...........at which time my heart would explode. He has some amazing stories to tell of first timers, lol. Laddie, I figure you are the type who will take up a jump with Larry sometime in the future? And if he isn't crazier than me,,,,his testies must be twice the size

Larry...I took my first tandem jump for my 50th Birthday as a gift from my kids last year at Skydive Arizona in Eloy. It was one of the most awesome experiences I have ever had!! Jumping from 13,000 feet and then free falling at over 100 mph until pulling the rip cord at 5,000 feet is truly amazing. My only suggestion would be to wear ear plugs. I will do that next time as the wind rush at over 100 mph is painful!!! My ears hurt for 2 days afterwards!! I had the video option where another guy jumps along side and videos the whole jump. I have played it for many friends who said that is crazy...but it is the biggest rush you can get...jumping out of a plane door at over 2.5 miles high...I'll do it again one day!! Try it...you'll love it!!!

Thanks Jim,,,,but even I can't keep up with the great, dry humor of my friend Mike Gatlin. He is the one who cracks me up. Presently, Mike is suffering the pain of losing a loved one, but I hope within a month he'll return to this forum to tickle my funny bone.
