The 300C is my favorite of the two. I'm told by the dealer that they cannot get enough 300's and cannot keep them on the lot. Hve not heard of discounts yet. I did see a red Magnum that looked pretty sharp and we know it's fast.

I just bought a 300C this week. All the local dealers (Columbus OH) said they were in short supply and needed sticker to order one for me. I used the Chrysler web site to locate the cars that I wanted, called small town dealers and bought exactly what I wanted for $500 over invoice with the $1000 Chrysler Financing rebate to me. It pays to do your homework. BTW, the same dealer has a white 300C loaded that I'm certain you can get for the same deal. Mathews Dodge in Marion Ohio 740.339.2341, ask for Jeff Ellinwood.

Chuck the performance on the 300C is reported at 0 - 60 in 5.3 sec and the 1/4 mile in 13.9. I think the Magnum is more of a guy car. Most women I have talked to about the Magnum including my wife think it is ugly. I personally like it a lot , but I like the 300C better.

I love the luxo/ganster look of the 300C. Magnum is cool - just wait for the Magnum SRT-8. I'm sure both cars will be supercharged at some point. Charger should be introduced shortly although I hear it won't go on sale until January at the earliest.

That's very interesting. In San Diego, CA the dealers don't have any inventory to speak of, and if the few that are here are being sold at a mark up over MSRP! Bill

The dealerships I talked to before purchasing my 300C here in Dallas, wouldn't do a F&F. I did manage to get $500.00 off MSRP but that was it, and it wasn't easy.

Chevy SSR which was just introduced by G.M. a few months back has a $7500 credit due to lack of sales...pretty amazing!

The SSR is way cool looking but the word is getting out that it is slow. Chevy should have built a new vehicle from the ground up instead of using an existing chassis. JMO. When I saw it in person ,the size really surprised me as well. I was expecting it to be somewhat smaller.

The dealer I spoke to about 300C's told me they woulndn't accept Friends & Family for that vehicle (yet). That was about a month ago. Anyone know if that's changed?

Not only that, but it has some other undesirable features, like a can of fix-a-flat instead of run flat tires or a spare, it doesn't have hood struts, and XM satellite radio isn't an option.

I think this thread just shows that no vehicle is perfect and especially not for everyone.

One of the great things to me about the Prowler is having the ability to modify it to suit your wishes and only half the world thinks your nuts!

I would prefer the Magnum styling over the 300C but like the added comfort/luxury features on the 300C.

As far as an SSR goes; for more performance it should be fairly easy to add a supercharger to this since it is a small black Chevy engine. All you need is for Bob at Real Rod to start making mods for the SSR to dress up the appearance! At least you wouldn't need a trailer to take a week's vacation trip and the retractable hard top is cool.

Dr Prowler where did you get your information on the $7500 allowance on the SSR?
Thanks
Ken

Dealers are not obligated to accept F&F on any vehicle. 300Cs are selling very well.......they can't build them fast enough. I guess they feel they can get top dollar and don't need to discount them.
