This piece of string walks into a bar. Before he can even take a seat, the bartender yells, "Hey get outta here...we don't serve string in here!" Dejected, the piece of string goes into a second bar, but is thrown out of there too. This happens time after time. Feeling desperate and needing a drink more than ever, the piece of string comes up with an idea: he contorts himself grotesquely and shreds his own ends.

Entering still another bar, he orders a drink. The bartender eyes him suspiciously and says, "Wait just a minute...are you a piece of string?"

The string replies, ...................................................................................

"No, I'm a frayed knot."
