We have had 12 inches of rain since 3:00am and are getting up to 4 inches an hour now. Robertson County has already recieved 15 inches of rain in the last eight hours! Burleson County (where I live) is currently under a tornado warning!

It's going to be a long day......

Yeah I used to live in San Diego!

Were up to 17.5 inches in the northwest area of Brazos County since 3:00am. Most all highways are closed now due to flooding. I'm working the office right now - hopefully they wont send me out in the field.

Time to get back to work!

4 inches an hour is an ungodly amount of rain.

I suggest Ark mods to your Prowler...

Well it stopped for about and hour, now the National Weather Service just put us under another flash flood warning. More rain coming!

We have just about every road and freeway closed in and out of town. A tornado struck the north part of Bryan damaging about 50 houses!

Last count was 17.5 inches of rain today! Only about 3 inches around where I live, 30 minutes south of Bryan.

Here we go again - I'm off break and back to work!

We've been getting spring storms here, finally got a day off yesterday, when I got up" looked out the window and seen sunshine (partly cloudy). Pulled the car out and dusted off went and had brunch. I was going to go home and get some stuff around the house done, NOT ! headed for Chicago and cruised Lake Shore Drive, The Magnificent Mile, Rush Street,Lincoln Park etc. for about 3 hours. Got out of there just before heavy storms came thru about 4:00. If anyone ever gets the chance to cruise through Chicago do it. People go nuts over the car and the buildings and Lake Michigan and all are fantastic. otherwise its been spring storms and rain & wind (tornado season)here.

It gets the mood down everytime it rains,no question-but that is some serious weather.
Try living up here where we've gone from mid 30's the beginning of the week to low 80's today.I also heard they had a snow storm in Calgary...

Not to worry there. The National Weather Service announced a while back that this quarter in Texas is to be dryer than normal. So far, we're only about 11" above normal (all gotten in THIS quarter.)

At least it didn't rain today! I'm going to try to finish cleaning up the two big trees I lost in yesterday's storm. I had to chainsaw some limbs (the tree's, not mine) off the roof of the barn when I got home last night. Well, at least I have some firewood now for this winter!
