Congratulations to my racing partner Jimmy Talbot on 1st Place in the Vintage V8 class. Jimmy drove our #78 1978 Yellow Vette to the winners circle (with BLT of 1:30:8) in the Vintage Class. Jimmy called me on Saturday and I'm sure he's still smiling. I was unable to make the race due to another commitment but, I was there in spirit. Also, Congrats to Johnny Walter who took another 1st Place in Super Production (with BLT of 1:16:8) in his GT1 Vette holding off Scotty Bolduc in his Porsche. And, Mike Poupart driving Alan McDonnel's Speedvision Viper finished in 3rd place on some bad tires (with BLT of 1:18:6) in the Super Production Class. .

From conversations with Tom Walter and Winston Landymore, it was another good race day with 60 entries in the nine classes at No Problem. The BLTs run from the best of 1:16:8 to 1:40s between the nine classes and combining the classes into race groups adds some excitement with having to deal with passing some of the slower class cars on the 1.8 mile course. After the Grand Bayou Race, the the ½ mile track was available for Hot Laps and several people took advantage of the opportunity. Felix Bradbury was out on the track with his Z06.

Our next Road Race (#4 of the series) will be on Sat. & Sun. (Oct. 2nd & 3rd). We'll run the regular race setup on Saturday and than on Sunday we have a 90 minute Enduro race. That's a long time in a race car... We'll be practicing and trying to get in shape over the summer...

Some Formula cars going thru turn #13...

Here's Jimmy...
