On a more serious note, this was on montel... A lady received a call from a guy that said he was her mother's doctor. He said he was treating her mother for a certain medical condition (medical term for it) and that she was actually at more risk of the same condition since she was younger. (As it turns out, the lady's mother was actually under a doctor's care for a breast condition, so she believed him.) Anyway, after getting her to examine herself for a while, he convinced her that she needed to rid herself of the condition immediately. He walked her thru the procedure over the phone, telling her that it was ok to cry out in any pain she experienced, as this helped him know how serious it was. Well, she went into her bathroom and got a razor blade, and commenced to cutting off her nipple. When she asked what to do with it, he told her to flush it, which she did. Then he told her to take some tylenol for the pain and lay down and sleep for a while. She tried to sleep but the pain sent her to the hospital thinking maybe she had done the procedure wrong, where she found out it was all a scam.
Yes, this is really STUPID, but with her mother having her problems, she believed the guy. Use a little common sense out there. When someone tells you something, don't be so ready to buy into what they say. People fall for things all the time in desparation.
As a kid, probably about 10, I got a call from someone. First they asked for my mother or father. This made me think it was a legitimate call. After they found out they weren't there, they started trying to get me to examine my little sister since my parents werent there to do it, stating they were a doctor, and that it was ok. I told them to call back when mom got home. Lots of sicko's out there!

Gee, if it was on Montel it may not be totally true. I will wait to see if it shows up on Jerry Springer so it can be verified as totally true. lol
