last night someone took the 2005 sticker off my father's E430 - with the
difficulty (smog) and expense these days of registering the car some are
taking to peeling off the sticker

a CHP officer told me best thing to do is to take a razor blade and once the
sticker is applied to the plate make 2 diagonal cuts so they can't peel the
thing off easily...

My father had to go though the DMV and for a $15 fee get issued another...

That's why in Texas they started putting them on the inside of the windshield. There were far too many thefts of the stickers. Sorry to hear that happened. T

Tami beat me to it...this is a good idea for anywhere, simply stops theives from getting the whole sticker.

We started doing this in Texas over 20 years ago because of sticker thieves.

As far as the difficulty with smog...as long as the car runs good, no problem...no different there from Texas or Colorado
