Thanks to Felix & Mary for planning and Coordinating this weekend of Cruisin' fun...

We had 41 Vettes and one Van from all the South Louisiana Corvette Clubs converge on the Exxon station in Erwinville before traveling up Hwy. 1 toward New Roads & lunch at Satterfield's on False River. Very relaxing setting and the food was good. More Vettes and cars would join us on the other side of the river and even more on Sunday (not sure of final car count...).

From New Roads, we took the St. Francisville ferry across the MS. River and over to Rosedown Plantation for a tour. It took three ferry trips to get our entire group across the river. No problem we're just cruisin'... Our first two groups gathered up in St. Francisville and headed over to Rosedown plantation. I even took a couple of pictures of some old recipes in the kitchen and will submit those for the Confederation Cookbook.

After the Rosedown tour, we headed up to Natchez, MS for the night with another good dinner at the Sandbar restaurant across the MS river bridge in Vidalia, LA (no vidalia onions - right city - wrong state). On Sunday morning, we headed back down river toward St. Francisville for a tour of the Myrtle's (no reported ghost seen on this trip) and than with Police escort to Jackson, LA for the Feliciana Wine Festival for some wine tasting, food, music & relaxing. From the Feliciana Winery, we had a Tractor & trolley shuttle back & forth to the 13th Annual Jackson Crossroads Civil War battle Reenactment & than over to West Feliciana Museum for a trip and ride on a Steam Train around the Jackson and original Centenary College area (we even got hijacked...) before returning to our respective home towns..

Hey Laddie - in the South, do the Rebels beat the Yankee troops in the reinactment?
