Whatever you get, have them send you out a copy to look over before signing on. If they won't, don't buy into it.

Jan, having been involved with new car dealerships for almost 25 years now, I have never seen an aftermarket service contract I would waste my money on. I am speaking from the service department side in that all the hoops they make you go through to get something covered isn't worth it. We had one engine that was using oil. They said worn rings weren't a failure. I had to call again and lie to some other adjuster that the oil rings were broken. Now they send out inspectors because they won't take our word for what we find wrong. If they don't like the price of factory parts they have their own part shipped to us. Sometimes there even use used assemblies. Remember they are just insurance companies. I hope you can wait so Bob here at our dealership can help you out later when Chrysler comes out with something. I'd hate to see you pour your money into a bottomless hole. Bruce

I bought an extended warranty many years back from AAA, administered by a 3rd party warranty company. 7 yr/100K warranty. Broke my mirror on my garage and they replaced it, no questions asked. By the time I needed it most, the company had gone out of business, so I called AAA and they had arranged to finish the contracts thru yet another company. Wish I knew who it was. Tranny went out at 97K and shop called for approval for a rebuilt exchange for $750. Warranty company said, "rebuild BS... Put a NEW tranny in it!" They were then told that a new one was $1500. The warranty company said, "I don't care what it cost, put in a new tranny!" There ARE good warranty companies out there. You just have to find them. BTW, AAA is not offering this anymore that I know of.
