Alley Cat, haven't registered yet... I'll only find out next month if I'll be in Texas during that time.I hope to make it and I'll be talking with Tami and Ken about it. I was living in Southeast Oklahoma for a while and hooked up with the Dallas area crew pretty regularly. Great bunch of guys and gals! Mine was owned free and clear and I started to wonder if that was a good thing. With interest rates low and the stock market taking off I just couldn't see letting that money do nothing. I ended up taking a $38,000 (yes NADA says 38K for the kat, 2k more than I paid for it) note on the kat @ 5.25% and put it in mutual funds doing over 8%. Now I still get to drive it and make money at the same time.------------------ Gary K

BT - thanks for making me feel better. My loan was originally a 66 month and I refinanced in March 2003 with a 4 year loan at lower rate so payments went down almost $100 a month, so I still have almost three years yet on a car with 73,000 miles and it's third motor being put in.

That's great. So now that the car is all yours, time to invest in another one, just to continue the payments-why break the habit...

Thanks everyone! This kind of interaction is what makes this forum great! No sooner did I pay off my Prowler when my 1998 Jeep Cherokee (daily driver) was getting "tired" at 160,000 miles... so I bought myself a 2004 Subaru WRX AWD sedan. At 1.9% financing thru Subaru... I couldn't pass up the deal. If Dodge made the Neon SRT4 in AWD I would have considered it. Driving this WRX is "almost" as fun as driving the Prowler. Thanks again everyone! texasjr ------------------ texasjr 1999 Red Plymouth Prowler w/ matching trailer *XM Satellite Radio, Borla Exhaust and MTD 2.2 Cold Air Intake 2004 Subaru WRX sedan (daily driver)
