....I remember the first time I heard "Jan and Dean" on the radio, my little AM transistor radio I had attached to the handle bars of my red Stingray bicycle with rubber bands was blastin'....I must admit their music had a major impact on my dreams and life....I WANTED TO BE "JAN AND DEAN".....I wanted to go to "Drag City".....I remember playing "Dead Mans Curve" over 100 times the first night I bought the 45 rpm record....I rode my bicycle to town, purchased the single and rode home as fast as I could so I could hear it again and again, the song fascinated me ....who can forget the "Little Old Lady From Pasedena" and her brand new shiny red "Super Stock Dodge"......I wanted to live in "Surf City" where there were two girls for every boy, I wanted to take Linda surfin....I spent several summers "Sidewalk Surfin'" on my "Hang 10" skate board......all those cool hot rods, pretty girls and surf boards.....sunny and warm year round, no school, no work, just drive hot rods and surf .....that was my "American Dream"....I have listened to their music my entire life and still flash back to my room every time I hear their songs....I was usually building model cars while listening to their albums.....I built a '31 Ford Woody model one cold winter weekend while listening to "Jan and Dean" over and over and over, they were taking Linda surfin' again.... Their music was THE MAJOR FACTOR in my purchase of a new GTO in 1968....as a kid, I had played their song "My Mighty GTO" till I nearly wore the grooves off the record.....Jan and Dean owned many new Corvettes, and naturally my dream car was a Vette....when I was 25 years old I finally got my first Corvette, a red 1961.....I sat in the Corvette and listened to a "Jan and Dean" 8 track tape for a long time the first night I owned that car....."Jan and Dean" were who I wanted to be....THEY WERE MY HEROES..... After Jans accident, I always felt a very close connection.... a few years earlier I had been in an automobile accident suffering some of the same brain injuries and paralysis as Jan, I eventually recovered, Jan never did ..... the intense young Jan Berry was doomed to be a prisoner in a body that didn't always respond well to his thoughts and wishes for the remaining years of his all too short time on earth.....1941 to 2004 I hope the surf is up and the hot rods are fast old friend................."Catch A Wave"

I saw Jan and Dean twice. Once in the 60's and once in the 80's when they were making the County Fair rounds here in Pennsylvania. Still have their music and I still listen to it.

I have their Best Of tape in the Prowler and is about all I listen to if the radio isn't on.In 2000 they had a concert at the State Fair Grounds the same weekend as the World Of Wheels. Took a picture of the Prowler from the show down with us and had it signed by them. It was kind of disappointing to see Jan on stage, but he was trying to do his best. I bought the Jan & Dean "Dead Man's Curve" movie made for TV while at the concert May He Rest In Peace
