DSL speed is dependent on your distance from a central switch (or some techie sounding thing) for high speed service. I think you may be limited by what your cable service provider has in your yard and what your distance to the phone companies' facilities is.

They occasionally run specials for newbies. If you go with them, give them my email addy and I'll get a month free (or something like that) for sending you there.
