While my son was home on leave a couple weeks ago, he and I had the opportunity to go back to MSX to pick up the original Rumble Bee image vehicle done by Performance West. Bob was bringing it into the DC complex to be put on display. Brian got to drive the truck and was having a real good time. This one has the SpectraFlair Blue custom paint is supercharged!!! It was also the vehicle which spawned the Dodge Rumble Bee that is now in production on a limited basis. Here are some pics!!

I REALLY LIKE IT.. thanks for postingCJ or Bob... On a different note. Any idea why has DC not produced a stepside pick-up bed for many years? I think a stepside would really make the Rumble Bee a Must Have. thanks, Chromer.

CJ - what size are the rims on the blue truck? Also, what happens to it? Does anyone get to drive it around like the I Scream Prowler?------------------ 2000 Black with hand painted blue faded to purple flames

Marty..........the rims are 24" (I think). It belongs to Performance West (CA). It was done as one of Bob's image vehicles for SEMA. Larry uses it for magazine covers/articles, displays and shows. Many of the vehicles Larry builds are for sale after a year or so. It is street legal and driveable. Brian actually drove it back to our house when we picked it up as it was very dirty and he and I washed and cleaned it up (in freezing weather I might add) and then we took it back to Bob at DC.

While I like the looks of it alot, how is a stock hemi going make a supercharged/intercooled V-8 Lightning with almost 400 ponies under the hood (stock) "look out"? Ford said it wanted to wait a year on the new Lightning because of the new body style. I actually think it was to wait and see what hp/torque the SRT-10 had so it can bump up the hp with the new Lightning due in the Fall as a 2005. Rumor has it, it will sport 550 hp! If true, it will be interesting to see what hp comes out of the SRT-10 in 2006.
