Well, THIS IS NOT MY IDEA, but it is for mom so I'm doing it

I have been working on a 1980 MGB for my Mom. It is a dark brown car with tan interior. She wants it painted baby blue (UCK) and I'm thinking a cloth Tan top.

This car has not been driven in 12~13 years. The pick up tube from the gas tank was stopped up and the slide in the carb was stuck, along with the left rear brake. Even though the left rear brake was stuck it had no brakes at the pedal.

Mom has come home from Florida to go to a Pacer game with my daughter tomorrow and I wanted her to drive it before spending a lot of time and money on it.

So tonight I drove it from the barn I work on stuff in to the house (about 3 miles) with the top down. Only becasue it does not have a TOP. I cut it off so I could fold the frame down. The interior cover was on so only the drivers seat was open, heat on and the windows DOWN.

For it to be 30 degrees it was kind of nice to drive a car with the top down and stars out.

COME ON SPRING.......I hope to have My Dart Convertible and Prowler to drive with top down this summer

2 weeks ago, I was driving next to a convertible camaro with the top down - he was wearing a ski mask. Now THAT's dedication.

Nope - always have the windows down with the the top down. What made you think I lived in Florida or California?
