I would do $1000 chance on a New 2003 or 2004, but a used 2001 with 6000 miles? $100 yes! Not a $1000------------------

I couldn't agree with you more,Chuck. Somehow spending $1000 on a ticket for a used Viper seems a little steep,I'd rather buy Prowler stuff instead... Good luck anyway! This message has been edited by DR PROWLER on 02-16-2004 at 01:28 PM

$1000 steep for a Viper with only 6000 miles on it??? Where do you guys live cause they are a tad bit more here. LOL!I think you guys are looking at it wrong. Your taking the stance of getting the car (who wouldn't) but, it's really a charity thing. I will agree, they could probably get more folks interested with tickets at $100 versus $1000 because either way, 99.9% are going to just be donating and not getting the vehicle and I think most folks realize that. I think what they were trying to do was build enthusiasm for only 100 tickets versus 1500 tickets. 1 in 100 is alot better odds then 1 in 1500. I wish them the best of luck. CT, if money isn't an object and you really want a viper, I'm auction off my home. Tickets are only $1.4M and there will be only 1 ticket. Odds are incredible for anyone buying "the ticket". Winner gets a free 2004 Viper in his choice of factory color currently available. (will even through in a car cover....)

It sounds like you're teaching a statistics class (and you're 100% correct). -GRROWL

YellowFever - I think you are correct, they believe the 1 in 100 chance is more exciting (to those with the extra $1,000 laying around) than the one in 1500 chance. This message has been edited by Steve T on 02-16-2004 at 03:08 PM

Raffle off a 2004 Viper for $1000 a ticket and i'm in (100 tickets). I'm not talking odds here, i want a 2003 or 2004 Viper! I understand the charity thing, i give to many! YellowFever, GRRowl, Steve i won't stand in your way of buying a $1000 ticket! YellowFever your opening line is $1000 Steep for a Viper with 6000 miles on it! Well if i could buy it for $1000 it would be gone. Its a car raffle! How many car raffles do you see with $1000 tickets! Its just my opinion, its a used Car! Whats its book value $65-$70000? Remember if i buy a ticket, I have 1 chance in a Hundred of winning! 99 chances of loosing! Lets see how many POA Members take a shot!!!------------------

A $1000 dollars is alittle steep for me right now with all of Jan's medical bills still coming but i wonder how they will be able to sell all those tickets in 60 days. Heck it took the POA and alot of time to sell i believe 80 tickets for that car lift. I wish them well. That Viper sure would look good in my garage..LOL
