With the Texas trip coming up, I ordered some flamed shirts from www.pacifichotrods.com. I did not get one of the shirts and I did not get a response from them. Just informing you of the events. Here is the sequence of e-mails:

In a message dated 2/15/04 7:51:09 PM Eastern Standard Time, MOPAR DAVE writes

Tracy: I still have not heard from you about this missing shirt. I contacted PayPal and they informed me that the reward for my patience for waiting for you to respond is that they will take no action since the transaction is more than thirty days old.

In a message dated 2/7/04 8:51:09 AM Eastern Standard Time, MOPAR DAVE writes:
Tracy: I have still not received the second shirt. Were you able to confirm shipment? Thanks for your help.

> Hi! I will have to confirm, but I believe it was already shipped, and you should get it anytime now. They were both shipped within a couple of days of each other, just shipped from separate locations.
> I will confirm the shipping date when they open on Monday.
> I apologize for the inconvenience.
> Thanks! Tracy

Dave, your link is wrong. Here is the correct one. http://www.pacifichotrods.com

Ironically, Microsoft touts this as a great example of their auction products for sale on the internet.

Actually YF, its not my link. It is the one Tracy posted in the response. But, thanks for the correction.

Been burned by that PayPal policy before. I bought a head from a Georgia junk yard. They screwed me around past the 30 days. You can guess the rest.

MDP, Yeah and thing that burns me is that I know the policy and I have been very careful not to exceed the 30 days in the past. I believed these people when they said the shirts were shipped, especially after one of them got here.

Dave: Wish I had seen this message prior to my ordering our shirts for the Texas event. I too was shorted a shirt in my order and am trying to get the last shirt from them. Seems this is a standard practice for them. Received a very rude e-mail from Tracy basically calling me a liar about not receiving the full order. Still trying to get this resolved. Luckily I paid with Visa and not through paypal, so I can use them if need be. T

I was in a Wal Mart the other night and saw a couple of different colors of flame shirts. I can't speak for the quality, but they looked pretty neat.

One was black with blue flames and one was red with orange/yellow flames. I think they were $16 or $17.

Forgot. (Getting old is hell!)

If anyone is interested in one of the shirts I described from Wal Mart and can't find them at their local store, just let me know and I'll pick you one up.

Sorry I have no pixs. I would have bought one as a novelty, but they didn't have any large enough for my big a**!

Update: The shirt I was shorted finally arrived and it came from someone else in Texas. Not sure how or what happened, but we have both shirts. I won't try using these folks again though.

Dave: Glad you finally received yours, hopefully mine will show up as well, but was told I won't get the size I initially ordered. They certainly aren't great with customer service.

Randy: Thanks for the heads up - I may be checking into those if the one I ordered doesn't come. T

Ask for a tracking #. I had an item lost by UPS and didn't discover it until I requested a tracking #. The # will confirm where the problem is.

Good luck!
