....best vacation I ever had....went to Liverpoole a year or so ago.....spent a week there searching out all the Beatle trivia....got my haircut(not much ) in the barbershop on Penny Lane.....found all their childhood homes....spent a long while at the Cavern Club.....also spent some time in London and visited Scottland .....had tix for a return visit this last fall and we had a death in the family and we were supposed to leave the next day.....cancelled the trip....
I strongly recomend the trip to ANYONE in the proper age range.....an adventure I will never forget....plan to return this year....

tried to pick up Elinor Rigby, she had a cold hard heart....we even found her gravesite.....

....four years in a row a few of my buddies and I hired "1964 The Tribute", to put on an event here in New Castle....it started out as a private party that grew and grew.....donated the proceeds to the local school system each year.....it was just like seeing the real thing....we ate out with "the boys" each year....it was like Beatlemania all over again....had a blast....these guys are the best I have seen....physical similarities are amazing....music is perfect....just missed them by a few days at the Cavern Club in Liverpoole.....get a chance to see their show...DO IT !!!

When you come to D.C. to visit the new Air and Space Museum (pictures posted elsewhere), you can catch the Beatles exhibit at the Smithsonian:

American History Museum

The Beatles! Backstage and Behind the Scenes

January 16, 2004 - July 5, 2004 (new closing date)
Marking the 40th anniversary of the Beatles's first U.S. tour and their live performance on the Ed Sullivan Show, this exhibition features more than 60 never-before-published b&w photographs from CBS Photo Archive and by LIFE photographer Bill Eppridge. Included in this flashback to 1964 are historic images of their train ride to Washington, D.C., and their first concert held at the Washington Coliseum.

Larry, you must be one of the biggest fans I've ever seen.If there is one concert I'd love to have seen-would have been the Beatles.
I will make sure next time I go to England I retrace some of the steps.Do you ever have some interesting stories to tell...I'm impressed!
