Nice pictures Rudy. We were back there 10 days ago during the coldest temps since 1898! We had a great time also. Visited ground zero, saw the Letterman show (even got on camera for about 10 minutes when he was in the audience), ice skated at Rockefeller, saw a play and had a great time. Even in the cold Time Square was packed.

My wife and I visited all the same spots last fall! Our first ever trip to New York in our lives (50 years old). We thought NY is just an awesome city! Your pic of the 9/11 site looks like many that we took there, and we thought that visiting the Trade Center site was very emotional for us....you can't really appreciate or imagine the impact of that day until you stand there, and try to imagine the horror that it must have been.....

Prowlrman your totally right. You cant even imagine the horror that city and people went throught. It's like total silence when you walk around there looking at where the towers once stood. That was mine and my families first time there, and we were touched. God Bless the families, and firefighters and policemen and women who went throught that.

Rudy and Marc.....can't believe you guys didn't call WildBill.....he'd have given you a tour of MSG (Madison Square Gardens) where he works. We were there in Nov. 2002 and had a great time with Bill. Had dinner with him also. New York is a cool place to visit, but I don't think I'd want to live there.

Cj, I understand when you say you don't think you would like to live ther. It is just interesting that a huge number of people who do live there will tell you that they can't imagine living anywhere else. It gets in your blood. I'm lucky, able to take advantage of everything there is to offer and back to the green acres in an hour and a half.jmo

Tom, it is an amazing city, but too much traffic, too many people and way too expensive!! I guess if you lived close with easy access, it would be cool. That's what Bill says, anyway!! We did a lot while we were there...it was the weekend after Thanksgiving. Saw a lot, walked a LOT, packed in a lot in a long weekend. Would like to go back again in warmer weather this time!!

CJ,
Everything is relative. I live about 1/2 hour out of the city in a beautiful town. 90% of my friends and neighbors work in the city. I own a business in the "Burbs" so I don't commute but most of my clients do. What I want to say is that the people I know make big bucks on Wall st. etc. and compared to most places around the country, people in N.Y. make a lot of money ( of course ther are exceptions to both) I just mean in general, so relatively speaking it's not as expensive for people who make that kind of money. Yes it is expensive to visit but not that way when your in the mix. You know what I mean?
Regardless, I think we all agree that it's a great city and there really is no place like it.
What does Wildbill do at the Garden? I'm there often.
Dave

CJ I was there at the MGS for the burington coat factory sale they had there. Once in a year sale. I bought both of my coats there.

CNOTE the trip was awesome. I froze practially to death but it was nice. Took my family out there for a weekend trip. I did alot of shopping was to expensive. I actually came home with money. And that's rare.
