........We had a lot of good times there in the 1969-1970 era....it was loaded with girls, live bands, and alcohol, everything a young boy dreamed of .... went by there a few months ago, and it seems odd to see it while sober, and in the daylight....I did wake up there in someones car one morning, found my car and left, but that was the only time I ever was there in the light of day till recently....the Triangle was a real hot spot at the time...think it was a supper club or something last time I was there......also there was a bar downtown that had real live GO-GO dancers in cages in the sixties....

Man you had all the fun, I was in MYF church deal but when we went to camp or out of town my room/cabin was the place to be.Larry, did you ever got to Teepee or Steak/shake or the northside to go racing? Us northside guys were scared to westside in Daddy's cars......lol Remember the West side was the Best side. Got my butt kick there, in my car then my body.

I remember it well. Some of my friends and I from Connersville, Indiana use to go up there in the very early 60's. We would be Wall Flowers at the Triangle until we got tanked up on 3-2 beer (an Ohio thing for over 18 year olds, and beer sales at baseball parks on Sunday). 3-2 beer was 3.2% alcohol. We would then go out on the floor and try to square dance with the local girls. Wow, what a ride. As I remember, the last 15 minutes of every hour, they would square dance using this time for the break for the featured band.In 1964 I bought a 1964 Studebaker Avanti with a factory Paxton supercharger. We made the trip up to the Triangle much faster than when I drove my Dad's Nash! I still have the Avanti. Yes Gary, I remember the Tee Pee. I use to cruise up to Indianapolis and go to Tee Pee after us guys checked out the Rail Club on 16th Street!

Gary.... ....used to go to the Tee Pee quite a bit to cruise....last time I ever ate there, the girl I was with got a piece of pie and there was a cockroach baked in the crust...I never was there again.....cruised all over Indy in '68-'71.....lookin for fresh meat to race against....funny, thru the years my best racing was in rush hour traffic headed home from Indy, best time was bumpin' my way down Fall Creek against a '66 Vette,we touched bumpers a few times in the tighter corners and he wasn't happy at all, but I got him sideways on one particular tight curve out towards Arlington and passed him while he was spinning towards oncoming traffic........I worked at an insurance company at 39th and Meridian......also used to cruise to McGinty Dodge(lookin' for the Dodge Girl)

You have an amazing memory,Larry! You seem like the kinda guy who'd have a lot of great stories to tell sitting around the fireplace.
