Al, I am getting inundated also. My computer just had a new hard drive on Sunday so there shouldn't be much in it but I had about 10 bad emails this morning already.

Wow--guess someone on the site is infected. Please update your virus programs everyone. I just did a deep scan and appear to be clean---so far.

I had 8 or 9, many with people I am familiar with but don't have in address book. Does it seem to run in streaks for you guys, nothing for a few days, then a few days of "undeliverable, system failure, virus detected" type email? Today some of the names c5 frank, cmblockhus and others in todays stuff.

Just saw this in the local paper.
San Jose, Calif.
A malicious program attached to seemingly innocuous emails was spreading quickly Monday over the Internet, clogging network traffic and potentially leaving hackers an open door to infected personal computers.
The worm, called "Mydoom" or "Novarg" by antivirus companies, appears to be an email error message. A small file is attached that, when launched on computers running Microsoft Windows can send out 100 infected email messages in 30 seconds to email addresses stored in the computer's address book and other documents.
I guess that is us.

my antivirus caught most incoming - had a McAfee warning pop up about 5:00pm yesterday and I've been lucky. Got to work and see that the virus got through the firewall yesterday. We received a huge warning this morning....now I understand why we were having such problems with the system yesterday....really slowed everything down.

btw, my Outlook Express at home automatically deletes most attachments in emails so I'm not able to even open. This has probably saved me more times than not.

Here's some info from CNN.com: http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/internet/01/26/mydoom.worm/index.html

I think it would be nice if these hackers would creat a virus to attack pop up ads. They could inundate the company so it would take them days to get back on track. Just a thought.
