ON D I'm 70 miles north in CT. A little over an hour from NYC. It was -2 last saturday morning. Its warmed up into the 30's this week. Its not supposed to get very warm NYC is on the ocean and its windy so you better bring a warm coat. Many places to go into if your walking and get cold. i drive in but park the car and walk or take taxis's. Have fun, and don't believe anyone who walks up to you with sob storys!!!If you walk around looking up at all the tall buildings they know your not a New yorker!!!------------------

Go to your home page and punch in 10017, NY's zip code, in the weather finder for extended outlook. Right now, cold cold cold with more Arctic blast heading out way with snow added. ------------------ Yellow is DCOOLEST This message has been edited by butchcee on 01-13-2004 at 09:26 AM

When you're downtown NY, the wind can howl through the canyons created by all the buildings. It's sometimes like being in a funnel. Anyway, it's supposed to snow around 6-9 inches on Wednesday night here in DC and I believe the system will move up the coast. We're also supposed to get another blast of arctic air from our Canadian friends which will lower daytime temps to below freezing. Better check the weather channel web page, but I would expect the worst. Not a Prowler kind of weekend.

I'm in and out of the city all of the time. The best advise I can give you is besides getting a good coat( Bigger isn't always better). Buy a good hat and gloves and cover your ears. The wind and cold bite hard while walking around. Plan your next move the best you can. I'm sure that Sam was just kidding about the mean look thing. N.Y. is the greatest city in the world and it's the people that make it that way. Never forget 9/11. "NEW YORK, N.Y. SOUNDS SO NICE THEY NAMED IT TWICE" Have fun!!!!
