OU is a 6 &1/2 point favorite and has many outstanding individual players... However, I'm going with my heart and pulling for LSU ...

Geaux tigers...

One of my brothers is an avid LSU fan. He's trying to make his den like the stadium... So, here's some pics... He's having a tailgate party starting at 4:00 pm on Sunday and we'll be watching the game there... He's issuing tickets and I told him I need a sideline or press pass and I'll take pictures...

Here's a couple of pics from my visit on Wed. More done today but, I didn't have camera with me...

He's covered the walls with purlple & gold table cloths..

Moved in some bleachers from the local baseball field...

Covered the floor with visquine and bought some astro turf and painted it to represent the field...

The nachos & peanut stand will be in the corner... More to come...

Laddie,

I've been watching Mauk since he refused football to try baseball and back to football. We share the same hometown. I'm hoping he has a big day and LSU walks away with the game.

Best of luck to ya!

Chuck.

The couches are the suite seats. Three rows of bleacher seats are the club (1st row), terrace (2nd row) upper deck (3rd row).

Costs is $5 to get into block pool (payout by quarter). Donations accepted for decorations and food...

Today my son (Beau) and I went down and cruised around in the LSU Prowler. We stopped by a couple of RV tailgate areas and around downtown... The crowds started coming last night and it's like a small Mardi Gras around downtown. We stopped by the Mopar Cruise night and headed back for Mandeville. Now, Beau is heading back with friends for some night time activities...

Here's some pics from today:

Two of the four LSU buses in front of their hotel.

Picture of LSU Prowler in front of Dome...

Four of the LSU buses in back of Dome. LSU getting in last practice time at 4 today for game tomorrow night..

Stopped by the Ye Ole College Inn for the Tiger Purple & Gold party hosted by local radio sports show. Local band playing some of the LSU fight songs...

My son & me with my LSU Prowler shirt...

More LSU fans than Sooner fans while we were there...

Live coverage from Boubon Street cam at this link from 9 pm to 1 am...

Laddie - I think I see Mike Gatlin in that picture! He just bought his Mardi Gra beads this past week and was heading down for the big party on Bourbon Street. Don't think he is interested in the game,,,,,but the topless action in the streets brings him right up out of his Lazy Boy!

I wish your LSU team the best of luck,,,,,,even though I'm down on record for picking the Sooners to win.

Well, it was a little tense... But, LSU defense was dominant... LSU 21 - OU 14...

LSU 2003 BCS National Champs...

We had quite a crowd and my brother & sister had visitors all day just stopping by to check out the den...

Some party poppers during the National Anthem...

Beer man delivering a beer...

After 1st LSU touchdown...

After 2nd LSU touchdown...

After 3rd LSU touchdown ...

After LSU field goal which was nullified due to two penalties...

Game Over LSU 21 - OU 14 ...

Laddie - Congrats to LSU. Let me tell you, New Orleans knows how to throw a party. I watched the first half at Dino's Bar & Grill with about 120 of my closest LSU fans then back to my hotel to watch the second half. I was in the lobby after the game about 11:45 PM when four LSU fans kidnapped me and took me to Bourbon Street. Almost as crazy as Mardi Gras. I was probably the only one there drinking Diet Pepsi!

Saw a few people earning some beads. Saw a few more rather intoxicated people. Didn't see Bob G., cnote, or MeanGenes so I was back at the hotel by 1:30 AM. The noise in the hallways died down about 4 AM.

Laddie Glad to see that LSU finished up the job my Kansas State Wildcats started by beating OU. Hard to believe that just two games ago OU was being pushed as possibility one of the best teams ever. Congratulations.

To Laddie, his family, and all LSU fans - just got done with dinner,,,,,,no crayfish, just baked crow. God, it was terrible tasting! I congratulate the #1 team in the country, the LSU Tigers!!! Their freshmen athletes were just awesome to watch, and I was amazed at the total team speed.

I stand slapped, beaten, and ready to throw up the crow I ate, but can admit that the BEST TEAM WON!

Should be a great team for next year also
