....Every year as the new year rolls around I have to wonder about a certain pair of twin brothers....Thirty some years ago I was just back from S.E Asia, working for my favorite "uncle", and was finishing up my tour of duty in Texas....Texas wasn't much better than where I had been the last eighteen months, but at least I was able to DRIVE to Indiana from there
....my wife "Crash Car Annie" and I were attending a party I had never seen the likes of before, or since...there was liquor in mass quantities and other "unspeakable" things in abundance...we were close to Mexico and everyone had just made a trip across the border for supplies for this party.....
....as the night wore on, the 55gal drum of wine and fruit was getting low and the "fatboy" here had consumed large quantities of "brownies"....so with all the wine, second hand smoke and about 2 pounds of the best brownies I ever tasted the "Lucid Eye" was in for real treat....
....at the past parties, there had been a pair of twins(guys) that had always showed up(I think maybe they brought some of the ingredients for the brownies)....they really stood out in the crowd, because we all had short hair and they had long blond hair half way down their backs....they were body builders and had huge arms and chests.....they also dressed alike, rode IDENTICAL Harleys everywhere they went....never saw one without the other, and they were impossible to tell apart....
...this night I was sitting on the couch listening to "the Floyd" and not really knowing what was what when the one twin sat down beside me....we chatted for a few seconds and I asked where his brother was....he proceeded to tell me the entire story about his brothers fatal motorcycle accident just a few weeks before the party....I was shocked to hear the news, but not quite ready for the next move....the twin reached for a shoulder harness inside his jacket and pulled out a chrome flask with a Harley emblem on the side....he asked me to hand him a record album, anyone was fine, but it had to be a double album.....he opened the album, opened the flask and poured out a little pile of ashes and debris....I was helping him till I realized this dirt was the charred remains of the other twin.....since they really didn't live anywhere in particular he didn't want to bury his brother in Texas, he had his twin creamated...so he just carried him where ever he went in this flask.....when at a party, he poured the remains of his brother out so he could listen to the music and smell the smoke with everyone else....then he would funnel the ashes back into the flask, fire up the Harley and ride off.....
....needless to say, this was a real sobering experience for many party goers.....even worse yet, the next day the hostess of the party called to tell my wife that not all the ashes had made their way back into the flask....in his intoxicated state, he had missed some of his brothers remains....now this girl was undecided what to do....sweep them up and give him the vacuum cleaner bag, or just destroy them....since no one really knew who these guys were, or how to get in touch with them, she had no choice but to destroy them.....it was the last party ever at this girls house, and many of us were transferred to different places shortly thereafter, so I never heard anything about this ever again....but every New Years Eve, I always wonder if there is a little, probably very little by now, pile of dust listening to the music and soaking up the ambience.....

true story......

I remember partys like that--I think I remember anyway.
His brother must have been a little guy or he only kept the best parts to carry around with him as a cremated body takes up lots more room then a pocket flask. Easy way to pick up precious droppings is to stuff a handkerchief in the vacuum tube holding edges on the outside. Voila! everything will be held in place in the cloth for future use. Been there--done that. Yeah, I remember the brownies too. Been a while.

Great story, talking about being cremated. I told my wife when I go, get me cremated and put my ashes in the run flats tires on my prowler. I will continue to run around in circles and will never leave the prowler.
